“天佑数学讲坛”第22讲——王智诚教授

应兰州交通大学数学系张向明副教授邀请，兰州大学王智诚教授将于2023年3月18-19日与我系相关师生进行学术研讨，并于3月19日下午举行学术报告，欢迎各位老师和研究生同学参加。

报告题目：Traveling waves for an epidemic system with bilinear incidence in a periodic patchy environment

报告摘要：In this talk, we consider an epidemic system in a periodic patchy environment with bilinear incidence. It is assumed that all the parameters share the same period $N\in\Bbb{N}$. When the basic reproduction number $\mathcal{R}_{0}>1$, we show that for each $c\geq c^{\ast}$ the system admits a nontrivial traveling wave solution, where $c^{\ast}$ is the minimum speed, and there is no nontrivial traveling wave solution when $\mathcal{R}_{0}<1$, or $\mathcal{R}_{0}>1$ and $c\in(0,c^{*})$. The uniqueness of the endemic equilibrium and the convergence of traveling wave solutions at $+\infty$ are also discussed by simulation.

专家简介：

王智诚，兰州大学数学与统计学院教授，博士生导师。1994年本科毕业于西北师范大学，2007年在兰州大学获理学博士学位。主要成果发表在Trans. AMS、Arch. Rational Mech. Anal.、SIAM J. Math. Anal.、SIAM J. Appl. Math.、JMPA、Calc. Var. PDE、JDE、Nonlinearity等杂志上。2010年入选教育部新世纪优秀人才支持计划，2011和2019年分别获得甘肃省自然科学二等奖，2016年入选甘肃省飞天学者特聘教授，主持或参加完成多项国家自然科学基金面上项目和重点项目，正在主持一项甘肃省基础研究创新群体项目和一项国家自然科学基金面上项目。目前担任International J. Bifurc. Chaos等杂志的编委（Associate editor）。

“天佑数学讲坛”由兰州交通大学数理学院发起创办，是数理学院数学系高层次常态化的学术交流平台。讲坛将不定期邀请国内外知名学者围绕数学国际前沿动态展开学术交流与探讨，通过学术报告、小型研讨会等形式为数学系师生提供向国内外知名学者学习的机会，以便能够及时准确地了解数学领域的前沿学术信息，进一步提升数学系师生的学术视野及科研水平。
