兰州交通大学数理学院学术报告

应兰州交通大学数理学院邀请，美国阿拉巴马大学 (汉斯维尔校区) 数学科学系教授、广州大学应用数学中心特聘教授及华中科技大学数学中心东湖讲座教授，博士生导师李佳教授与2019年6月25日至6月28日来我院访问讲学，同时月6月26日下午4:30-5:30做学术报告，欢迎各位老师和研究生同学参加。

题 目：Releases of Sterile Mosquitoes and Modeling of Interactive Dynamics with Wild Mosquitoes

摘要：The sterile insect technique (SIT), in which sterile mosquitoes are released to reduce or eradicate wild mosquitoes, is an effective weapon to prevent transmissions of mosquito-borne diseases. To study the impact of SIT on the disease transmissions, we formulate mathematical models with homogeneous wild and sterile mosquito populations to explore their interactive dynamics. Different releasing strategies, including impulsive releases and dynamical releases depending on the level of current wild and sterile mosquitoes, are incorporated into the mosquito models. Their impacts on the interactive dynamics are investigated and compared.

专家简介： 李佳教授于1987年在美国田纳西大学数学系获博士学位。1987-1991年先后在美国田纳西大学、亚利桑那大学、美国能源部洛斯阿拉莫斯国家实验室从事博士后研究工作。自1991年起在美国阿拉巴马大学 (汉斯维尔校区) 数学科学系工作，先后担任助理教授、副教授、教授 (2000年起)，并于2005至2016年间担任该系系主任。现并担任广州大学应用数学中心特聘教授，及华中科技大学数学中心东湖讲座教授。

李佳教授主要从事于动力系统、微分方程、差分方程、数学建模、人口动力学、传染病动力学、数学生态学、数学传染病学及数学生态毒理学等方面的研究。在主要应用数学和生物数学杂志发表论文80多篇，获得多项美国国家科学基金项目，任 Mathematical Biology and Engineering、Journal of Biological Dynamics、Journal of Mathematics and Computer Science等杂志的编委。李佳教授多次组织和参与有关生物数学方面的国际学术会议，在国内外多所高校进行讲学。是国际生物数学领域有重要影响的专家。
